Lithotherapy or Healing: the mystery of the semi-precious stones

Lithothérapie comes from the Greek; lithographies meaning “stone” and, thérapeia meaning “cure”.

It is not Greek in origin but from an art born further east; in India and China.

The existence of the natural semi-precious stones dates back to the beginning of time.

Since their discovery, they have been used by successive civilizations.

Often used as talismans and frequently in the clothes industry, for decoration.

Because of their resistance to “time” a divine origin was allotted to them.

While their spirit offers no scientific proof as to the reality of these virtues, the stones have, as if in revenge, demonstrated their spirit, through their obvious beauty.    They have nothing more to prove.

It is very easy to succumb to the charms of amber, agate, amethyst, cornelian, rock crystal, hematite, lapis lazuli, malachite, eye of tiger, onyx, pearl and, turquoise.
